學校環境

  本校座落於彰化市西郊,距離彰化交流道約六百公尺,為一農、工、商、住宅混合區。本校對社區的親職教育、父母成長教育及推動義工制度極為積極,亦頗有教育成效,充分結合了社區與學校同步成長。校地雖僅1.80公頃,但校園整體規劃相當完整,尤其休閒區、教學區、活動區的層次,井然有序。

學校沿革

  1. 民國36年8月1日創校,校名「東芳國民學校」。
  2. 民國57年8月1日實施九年國民教育,改校名為「東芳國民小學」。
  3. 民國69年6月24日設立自立幼稚園,民國78年8月1日自立幼稚園奉准改為附設幼稚園,101年改稱附設幼兒園,105年增設1班,成為2班。
  4. 民國88年8月25日開辦附設補校(88年~92年,共4屆)。

一、 課程主軸

本校課程願景【樂學自東;德行芬芳】,分別由四個面向「國際觀、閱讀、品格薰陶、素養學習」作為主要的發展方向。

  1. 培養英語能力及國際觀

本校有鑑於地球村時代的來臨,國際間政治、經濟、文化往來頻繁,英語的重要性日益突顯。英語已成為國際交流之重要溝通工具。藉由本校本位課程安排,其目的即為奠定國小學童英語溝通基礎,透過英語學習,學生可體驗不同的文化,增進其對多元文化之瞭解與尊重。涵泳國際觀,為英語溝通能力的提昇紮根,以期未來能增進學生帶得走的外語能力。

  1. 強調閱讀及閱讀理解

語言文字為學科學習之母,除透過課堂上師長課程教授學習外,本校更加提倡與落實學生閱讀能力,藉由學校本位課程執行,從圖書館的認識,圖書分類規則出發,並安排1-6年級每週一節閱讀課程,再輔以閱讀獎勵活動的推行,淺移默化中啟動孩子自發性閱讀,進一步達到提升閱讀理解能力。

  1. 推展品格教育

進入二十一世紀,提升品格成為民主國家努力的目標。為培養人民優良的品格,本校將品格觀念落實於學校教育,希望藉由推動校內品格教育等各項活動,促使養成學生良好習慣。以學校願景--「關懷」為出發的品格教育,適時融入課程與日常生活中,透過品格教育環境的營造與「經驗式」、「互動式」、「參與式」的教學方法與過程,協助學生澄清價值與觀念,尊重人性尊嚴的價值體系,並於生活中實踐維護。

  1. 扎根資訊教育

本校自創校以來致力於培養學生運用科技與資訊的能力,建置完善校園資訊環境,並實施資訊融入各科教學。定期辦理資訊運用相關競賽,使學生能活用資訊教育所學。近年推行程式教育,扎根學生運算思維能力。並透過英語國際視訊交流,使學生對資訊設備更加熟悉,延續其興趣、提升資訊專長。

Tung-FanPrimarSchool

I. School environment

The school is located in the western suburbs of Changhua city in central Taiwan, just under one kilometer from the Changhua highway interchange, in a mixed zone of agricultural, industry, business and residential housing. The school acts as a foundation for local education, parental education, and acts as a focal point for growing local education, volunteer efforts, and as a result, the community as well in one unified group of activities. While the school campus covers only 197 hectares, it is still quite complete including leisure facilities, classroom building, and sports facilities, all in a systematic layout.

II. History

  1. "Tung-Fang Public School" established on August 1, 1947.
  2. Name of " Tung-Fang Public School" was changed into "Tung-Fang Primary School" on August 1, 1968 to implement nine years compulsory education.
  3. The preschool was set up on June 24, 1980, recruited as a supplementary school on August 1, 1989.
  4. The Night School was established on August 25, 1999 (1999~2003).

III. School mission statement

Our mission statement is Happy students, diligent teachers, and responsible parents", and may be explained as follows:

  1. Education and character are at the center of all everything, so we strongly emphasize these in a variety of ways in order to develop both education, and mature character, in students in a fun and enjoyable way.
  2. Using "service administration" team leadership, we provide teachers and students with omni-directional service, emphasizing mutual respect between teachers and students and the promotion of teaching quality. In addition to respect for teachers' specialties and independence, we also positively initiate the academic organization - encouraging the teachers to take advanced courses and help to lead teams, promotes teaching knowledge, enable the teacher to teach deeper, happier, and more effectively.
  3. Parents (and guardians) provide many pipelines to open hearts, improve communication, interact with each others' ideas, and to support the school's educational environment and their charges in education.

IV. School educational environment

We include multi-faceted nature, individuality, and adaptability, in small classes in the spirit of education. We do this to promote education, liveliness, health, gratitude, and e-awareness. We hope that the environment will guide children to learn cooperation, develop elf- awareness, show loving care for their native home, take a broad view the world, protect and appreciate the school environment and warm new campus, as well as pursuing continual education to grow and develop.

V. School characteristics

  2. Initiative literary arts activities - the promotion of a musical instrument for every student.
  3. Promotion of multi-faceted academic activities such as the organization of study clubs.

VI. Development directions (goals)

  2. To establish a green school, placing the impetus on teachers and students alike to take advantage of the Earth limited resources by recycling and conserving resources and energy.
  3. To build a campus from which "happy studies and healthy growth" will be brought in the community in an auspicious impact.
  4. To plan "a complete person curriculum" to develop individuals own natures, native and international consciousness, democratic accomplishments, and the well-rounded student personality development.
  5. To inspire children’s potential, their strive for perfection, their remarkable development, and their entry into e-generation as high quality nationals.
  6. To co-ordinate with society to build community, to educate the population in environmental protection work, and to promote quality of life and cultural accomplishment.
